Placement and Career Guidance Cell

The Placement and Career Guidance Cell is established in accordance with the guidelines of the Maharashtra State Council for Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy (MSOT & PT), relevant regulatory authorities, UGC, and the objectives of NEP 2020 to promote the professional development and career progression of physiotherapy students.

The Cell provides career counselling, guidance for higher education, and employability support through career orientation programmes, postgraduate entrance examination guidance, soft skills and communication training, personality development workshops, interview preparation sessions, and interactions with alumni and healthcare professionals.

It offers information and mentorship on postgraduate education (MPT), fellowships, clinical specializations, research opportunities, academic careers, sports physiotherapy, rehabilitation services, community health, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, sports organizations, educational institutions, research organizations, and government healthcare services. Guidance is also provided for competitive examinations, scholarships, professional registration, continuing professional development (CPD), and national and international career opportunities.

The Cell emphasizes the development of clinical competence, ethical practice, communication skills, leadership, evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and lifelong learning, in line with the standards of MSCOTPT and contemporary physiotherapy education. Through these initiatives, the Placement and Career Guidance Cell supports students in their transition from academic learning to professional practice and contributes to producing competent, compassionate, and socially responsible physiotherapy professionals.
