The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC)

The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) for taking care of grievances and complaints under Education For All.

As per the University Grants Commission (Promotion of Equity in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2012; the Equal Opportunity Cell aims to take care of “Education For All” despite of gender, caste, tribe, religion or social status. The responsibility of EOC is to adhere and follow the guidelines as directed by UGC. The Equal Opportunity Cell is also responsible for publicizing, circulating, facilitating, and monitoring the policies of equality in higher education.

Institute  has constituted the committee under the name of Equal Opportunity Cell for taking care of grievances and complaints of the Minority, SC, ST, OBC, Women, and Differently Abled Persons.  At least twice a year

Responsibilities of the Equal Opportunity Cell:

  1. To conduct awareness program and workshop for Education For All.
  2. To maintain the discipline in regards of Equality Opportunity Cell.
  3. To implement and adhere the preventive measures and laws against discrimination and safeguard the students / staff belonging to SCs/STs, OBCs, Women, minorities and differently abled persons categories.
  4. To hear and resolve the complaints that comes under the discrimination or harassment based on gender, religion, caste or social status.
  5. Organizing seminar / workshop for under-represented groups addressing biases.
  6. The EOC has the authority to investigate on that complaints of discrimination or harassment based on gender, religion, caste or social status.
